The Reverend Lloyd A. Cosby, Jr. is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He is a graduate of Armstrong High School. He attended J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College and received his Master of Divinity from the Dewitt Proctor School of Theology.
Reverend Cosby served his country in the United States Army, is a combat veteran of the Vietnam war, and received The Army Commendation, The Air, and the President's Medals.
Reverend Cosby is married and is the proud father of three daughters and grandfather to one grandchild.
Reverend Cosby was called into ministry in 1999 and was ordained in 2000. He pastored the Mount Nebo Baptist Church from 2000 to 2007. He has been with Zion Union Baptist Church since 2007.
